Shé:kon, skennenkó: ken Rawkstars? (Hello, how are you?)
I’m honored to share that my piece “Her” has been featured in ROCQY Zine, a creative publication uplifting rural 2SLGBTQ+ voices across Ontario. This zine gives space to those whose stories are often overlooked
youth, artists, and community members who speak from truth, tenderness, and strength.
ROCQY (Rural Ontario Community of Queer Youth) is a collective that celebrates identity, resilience, and connection. Each page of the zine feels like a conversation between hearts filled with poetry, art, and reflections that remind us we’re not alone in this journey of becoming and belonging.

My featured piece, “Her,” is a meditation on the body its power, memory, and reclamation. It speaks to the truth behind the #MMIW (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People) movement, honoring those whose stories continue to shape our collective healing.
I’m deeply grateful to be included alongside such inspiring creators. You can learn more about ROCQY and their work at www.rocqy.ca, or read the full zine to experience these voices firsthand.
In art, in story, in community — we keep each other alive. ❤️
